Statement of Problem:

Intervention coaches do not have a clear job description other than the task list. No clear path of daily job.

Work Environment:
Three schools, three different school political environments, three different administrative styles, and possibly more than one grade level. One intervention coach has all three elementary, junior, and senior high. A couple have only elementary. The rest have a mix of elementary and either one junior or one senior high.

Some intervention coaches have private offices. Most share spaces. At least one has whatever conference space is available at one of her schools.

Intervention coaches have a Dell laptop and basic office supplies. The intervention coaches rely on the schools for printer and copy access.

Target Audience:
Intervention coaches are a mix of classroom teachers in first position out of classroom and past reading coaches. Only two coaches were with the reading coaches for the full five years. A few of the intervention coaches have ESE experience. Most do not.

Performance Improvement Goal:
A clear path to follow.

Measures of Success: A goal. A true job description with less frustration for the intervention coaches.
